Thats a Wrap on SparkLearn 2023

As we move into 2024, all the music and entertainment sites are pushing out the best of 2023 lists. That got us thinking about all the updates and changes to the SparkLearn platform we designed and released for customers this year. Let's do a quick overview of just a few of our key highlights (all of our updates can be found here if you are curious).

1. New AI Tools for Content Editors:

While things related to AI technology have been in motion for a while now, Generative AI has seemingly just exploded onto the scene in 2023. In SparkLearn, you can use OpenAI’s GPT4 securely and directly within the platform, leveraging your information and knowledge to help generate additional content. If you need accurate questions with answers and feedback, ask the internal AI agent to create one based on the content you have entered into the system. Want some suggestions for tagging content? It can do that as well. Tips and flashcards as study aids for your learners? Yes, AI can create those, too. These content assistants are just the start for us; you can look for more tools and AI additions throughout 2024 as we look to the future of learning.

2. Integrations Abounded:

In 2023, we launched integrations with Open Sesame, Xyleme, Workday, MS Stream, and more. With SparkLearn, you can build out your learning ecosystem with connections to systems you already use. Whether for publishing and reusing your existing content into native learning objects, retrieving learners' identity and geographic information, or getting access to a content library of over 30,000 courses, we have those connections made and are constantly adding more.

3. Create Learning Paths with Journeys:

Upskilling and reskilling aren’t one-and-done kinds of things. We recognized that and wanted to bring a vital part of this to our platform with a deeper level of content organization! Think of these as your learner's self-regulated curriculums. Adding Journeys makes your content organization more functional and better sequenced for ease of discovery and completion. Gather your content and make it impactful while guiding your learning audience.

4. Smooth Out Assignments and Segments with Groups and Automation:

Every organization has different teams and levels of employees. These diverse learners need specialized access, content, and features. Our recent group featureset updates enable us to fine-tune learners' content requires even more effectively. The addition of our group automation tools allows your content team to seamlessly move team members through the system based on what the learners are seeing, learning, and experiencing. Combine assigned materials with content discovery features to empower your learners to thrive and move forward in their careers with you.

5. Spread Out the Responsibilities with Evaluator Role and Learner Updates:

This improvement area was a big one as we continued to fine-tune and expand the user roles in the system. Your team leaders can now view the data and reports for your learner's content and overall platform use. The views into that data can better service the learners and empower the content teams to fine-tune and revise materials. Enhancements like this are just the beginning as we expand the roles and tools further in SparkLearn, enabling more specialized use cases and workload distribution.

Wow! It has been a busy past 12 months, and we thank you for being here. Looking ahead to 2024, we are planning the next series of updates and additions. Expect more and more AI tools, additional group and cohort capabilities, improved UI for learners, and more in-depth reporting and analytics tools. We might have a few surprises in mind, too.
