SparkLearn at CHART 104 in Orlando

A Week of Empowerment and Camaraderie

I must say, it was awesome to be a part of a week of inspiration and knowledge at the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART) annual Summer Conference in Orlando. The event brought together hospitality training professionals from all levels for five unforgettable days focused on learning, sharing, personal development, and fostering a strong sense of community.

The keynote speakers truly left me inspired with insights, visions, and optimism for the future. They offered valuable lessons that extended far beyond the realm of hospitality, resonating deeply with all of us. I couldn't help but feel motivated to strive for excellence in every aspect of my life, both personally and professionally.

I really loved Erin King's session, "Ignite Your Influence," where she provided tips and tricks on discovering what motivates your team, how to recognize and acknowledge it, and how to leverage that momentum to achieve results that benefit both the organization and the employees.

The breakout sessions were full of innovative ideas, practical solutions, and emerging trends in hotel and restaurant training. Industry experts led interactive workshops, encouraging participants to engage in meaningful discussions, brainstorm ideas, and tackle problem-solving activities head-on. The topics covered were diverse, ranging from cutting-edge training techniques to leveraging technology to enhance customer experiences.

A few that stood out for me:

  • "Revolutionizing Onboarding for the Modern Workforce": This session was an affirmation of SparkLearn’s capabilities to focus on strategies and create a seamless onboarding experience that aligns with the needs and expectations of the modern workforce. We chatted about how companies are blending technology and personalization to optimize the onboarding process, train employees, and motivate/retain talent.

  • “Harnessing the Power of Emotional Intelligence in Leadership”: This interactive session emphasized the role of emotional intelligence in effective leadership. We delved into techniques for fostering a positive work environment and empowering teams to thrive and excel.

Beyond the enriching sessions, CHART 104 was all about fostering a sense of camaraderie, reconnection, and networking. The conference provided ample opportunities to connect with peers, share experiences, and forge lasting relationships. Interestingly, half of the attendees were first-timers, and their passion and eagerness to learn added an extra spark to the already energetic atmosphere throughout the conference.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the organizers, speakers, and fellow participants who contributed to making CHART 104 a resounding success. Your dedication and enthusiasm in creating an empowering and engaging environment did not go unnoticed.
